Recording New Inventory With the Scanner

When you finish scanning all freight assigned to pallets or belly compartments of the flight, record the location of other freight bound for the same destination:
  1. Select BC09 on any ACMS menu or select number 9 from the Bar Coding Systems menu.
  2. At the prompt for Destination, enter the 3-character airport code
  3. Enter Y to start scan additional freight for this location (Figure 1).

  5. The cage hold high-value items. At prompt Scan CAGE, press Enter (Figure 2). If the cage holds any pieces for this destination, scan each label (Figure 3) when prompted for Piece #. Press F8 when done scanning items in the cage.

  7. The cooler holds cargo that must remain refrigerated until loaded in the cooler area of the flight. At prompt Scan COOLER, press Enter. If the cooler holds any pieces for this destination, scan each label. Press F8 when done scanning items in the cooler.
  8. When prompted for Scan FLOOR, scan any cargo held on the warehouse floor in the area reserved for this destination that is not leaving on the current flight.
  9. The freezer holds cargo that must remain frozen. At prompt Scan FREEZER, press Enter. If the freezer holds any pieces for this destination, scan each label. Press F8 when done scanning items in the freezer.
  10. The hazmat area holds hazardous cargo. At prompt Scan HAZ-MAT, press Enter. If the warehouse holds any hazardous pieces for this destination, scan each label. Press F8 when done scanning hazmat items.
  11. At prompt Scan SCALE, press Enter. If the warehouse holds any oversize pieces for this destination, scan each label. Press F8 when done scanning oversize items.
  12. Press F8 to leave the screen when done.
